Feedly Doesn’t Do It

Ok, I know, I write way too much about RSS readers, but I keep thinking about them. An RSS reader shouldn’t be something you think about. The fact that I’m doing so indicates that there’s an itch here to be scratched.

My beefs with Feedly are twofold:

1) The web version is a pain to navigate. It’s not awful, but I wish there were an easier way to move between posts. A “next” button, and even a “previous” button, would be lovely.

2) The Android app is a disaster for me. It could be because I’m using a prehistoric version of Android (2.3.7 represent!), but I kind of doubt it. The app forgets where I was an loops through the same set of entries over and over. I’ve reported it to Feedly, but no joy yet.

It just doesn’t seem like it should be this difficult. I’m sure there’s something out there. Until then, I’ll just keep obsessing over it. That’s fun, right?
